Product Certification Services - CE Certification Process

How to Obtain CE Marking / Certificate?

An organization wishing to obtain CE Marking / Certificate for any of its products must first prepare a technical file for this product. The technical file forms the basis of CE studies. A technical dossier is prepared whether the company is producing a device that does not fall into the risk class and therefore uses its own CE Marking authority, or whether it is producing a risky product and therefore the product needs to be tested by an authorized body.

Low Risk Products (Company Declaration)

After conducting the conformity assessment, the manufacturer issues a declaration stating that the product complies with mandatory safety, health, environmental and consumer protection standards. This declaration must be issued in accordance with the norm.

High Risk Products (Notified Body)

For these products, the manufacturer's declaration is not sufficient. In this case, the products must be tested by notified bodies. As a result of the examination of the notified body, the manufacturer can put the CE Mark on the product.
